Unfortunately with the wella blondorplex 9 the result you get won't be accurate without the correct developer you need to mix it with welloxon developer to get the best result also the best mix ratio for blonder results is 1:1.5 as 1:2 will actually dilute the powder and give you less lift

This might seem like common sense but when I was a new hairstylist I never knew this foil highlight hack until somebody taught me. And it was life-changing 🤯 Before I tell you my 3 biggest highlight tips, save this post the next time you are highlighting long hair so you can try this!📌 I used to get spotting all the time. Especially on the mids and I had no idea why! So here are three foil highlight tips that helped me get the most even lift as a new hairstylist. 1️⃣ Mix the right viscosity with your lightener. Not too thick and not too thin so you can make sure that the saturation is perfect for penetrating both sides of the hair. I’m using @kenraprofessional Blue Powder at a 1:2 2️⃣ Open the hair in the foil with your brush to make sure we’re really working that product in. I kinda show this a little bit in the video but let me know down below if you want me to elaborate in a new video. 3️⃣ Fold your hair over into the foil and never swirl it around! When you swirl it, you’ll never know if you’re getting all sides of the hair and possibly creating uneven lift. I love this widows peak tip!!! I have a widows peak as well and no stylist has ever highlighted my hair like this and it looked terrible at the roots ie hot root spots all over and uneven highlights. This is so great. Thank you for the tip❤❤❤

That is valuable info about the hard water buildup. I grew up on soft water and now life in a hard water area so I hadn't thought of that. That could account for some of the yellow I have. Yup, definitely want to address that! Thanks!

What do you recommend for an almost black ashy formula?
